Lunney Development
Kathleen (Katie) Imelda Lunney is a Mi’kmaq from Elsipogtog First Nation, NB. After graduating high school, she never knew what she wanted to do with her life until she took a pathfinder test. It was there she was offered a chance to join a new program, theMAD (Mobile Application Development) program, offered by JEDI (Joint Economic Development Initiative). She finally found her passion and talent, it was for technology but she still had so much to learn.
After graduating, she worked for JEDI and NBCC and helped create material for the program. She eventually took her ISTQB test and became a certified software tester. When she heard JEDI was offering an Incubator program she decided to start her own business, Lunney Development. She completed the incubator as well as the accelerator but took time off to start a family.
After a few years off she returned to her business. She was hired by JEDI, to help the participants in their incubator and accelerator programs, launch their businesses online via websites and social media. She has now worked with various small businesses around New Brunswick and hopes to help many more find their voice online.
