Piloiangitasi Consultation Services

Nicole Augustine is a Mi’kmaq woman from the Elsipogtog First Nation. Her education includes a BA in Native Studies and Criminology, a Bachelor of Social Work, a Master of Social Worker and a graduate diploma in Indigenous Policy and Administration.

Nicole is now the owner and operator of Piloiangitasi Consultation Services, and is also the Indigenous Community Engagement Coordinator for the Atlantic Node for the Canadian Research Institute on Substance Misuse through Dalhousie University.


Piloiangitasi Consultation Services offers a "different way of thinking" to address the political, social, economic, and cultural impacts of colonization. Advocating for social justice through the decolonization and resurgence of Mi'kmaq culture and values.

Piloiangitasi Consultation Services offers services in an Indigenous resurgence in policy development by shifting the current colonial methodologies to the use of the Two-Eyed Seeing approach.
