Velocity Custom Apparel

Meet Kayla Ward from Esgenoopetitj First Nation (Burnt Church). She is a co-founder of Velocity Custom Apparel with her partner Devin Ward.

The purpose of their business is to fill a gap that currently exists in our local market. Currently, they have several screen printers that conduct this business locally but their downfall is their extremely long turnaround times. In their experience, your orders can take anywhere from 4-6 months to complete. The other alternative for this service is to look to online garment producers, but they are plagued by expensive shipping costs and limited personalization that you get with a local business.

“Here at Velocity Custom Apparel, we plan on achieving these goals by adopting new technologies such as Direct-to-Garment (DTG) and Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing techniques that allow for virtually unlimited design possibilities and immediate production adaptation between clients. No more waiting for screens to be produced or fees for holding your company's logo for future production. With a completely digital printing system, we can quickly and effectively adapt to our client's needs without sacrificing the quality of service offered.”
