Wabanaki Engineering Inc. is a New Brunswick joint-venture engineering and construction management company formed by Tobique First Nation and Engineering by Houghton (EBH). Based in Tobique First Nation and backed by EBH’s technical capacity, Wabanaki provides civil engineering, consulting, project management, and construction management services across New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia.
We work with First Nations, municipalities, government organizations, developers, and residential, industrial, and commercial clients, delivering practical solutions from planning and feasibility through design, permitting, procurement, construction, and project close-out. Our services cover the full project lifecycle, including estimating, scheduling, tender documents, contract administration, inspection, change management, reporting, and warranty support.
Services offered:
1. Civil & Municipal Engineering
Planning, design, and construction support for water, wastewater, stormwater, roads, site servicing, grading, erosion and sediment control, and public infrastructure. Services also include modeling, procurement support, contract administration, inspection, and as-built support.
2. Land Development Engineering, Planning & Permitting
Support for residential, commercial, industrial, and multi-unit developments from feasibility to construction. Services include site layout, subdivision design, grading, servicing design, stormwater management, ESC plans, approvals, tender packages, and construction-phase support.
3. Coastal & Environmental Engineering
Shoreline, marine infrastructure, erosion, flooding, and resilience.
