First Nations Tourism

Stephen Paul, from Metepenagiag First Nation, owns and operates First Nations Tourism offering authentic indigenous experiences through tour packages and workshops to local First Nations people and organizations, corporate clients and travellers searching for something unique, a one-of-a-kind experience they strive to deliver.

Stephen has over 40 years of experience working outdoors as a guide in local fishing camps within the Miramichi River area.

Working in tourism has long been a dream of Stephens as he loves working outdoors. He wants to showcase authentic indigenous experiences, their hospitality and this special region of New Brunswick that we all call our home. The clean fresh air and water make this territory a truly special place to both visit and live in.

As a dedicated Indigenous Business Owner, Stephen knows plenty of great travel tips and the best hidden spots. Join one of his guided tours and get ready for an unforgettable experience. If you’d like to design your own tour, get in touch directly and he will be more than happy to work with your requests.

First Nations Tourism operates year-round and delivers the best outdoor nature tours that include local Mikmaq people who share stories, food and culture from the Metepenagiag First Nation of New Brunswick.
During summer we offer the best in food and river tours by kayak or canoe. The fall season brings us to medicine picking in the outdoors and dining tours.

Winter and snowshoes are a fun part of outdoor nature tours combined with our bread on a stick experience. You may also want to try out ice fishing in our river huts and catch a fish for yourself.
